End of Automatic Work Permit Extensions

Urgent: Automatic Work Permit Extensions End October 30, 2025 — Renew Early or Risk Losing Work Authorization

Dear Clients,

We are writing to alert you to a major and time-sensitive change announced by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that may affect your ability to work legally in the United States.

Effective October 30, 2025, DHS will end the automatic extension of Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) for most renewal applicants.

This means that if you submit your EAD renewal on or after that date, you will no longer receive an automatic extension while your new card is being processed.

We understand that many clients have depended on these extensions to keep their jobs and stability. The lack of sufficient notice and the abrupt implementation of this change are unfair and harmful. We share your frustration completely.

💼 Group Federal Lawsuit Opportunity:

Our firm is preparing a group federal court lawsuit to challenge this sudden policy change that will negatively impact thousands of immigrant workers.

If you are interested in joining this group action, please email frank@symphorienlaw.com.

💲 Estimated participation cost: $2,500 per client.

✅ What You Should Do Now:

We strongly recommend renewing your work permit at least 6 months before the expiration date to prevent any gap in employment authorization while this rule takes effect.

We are extremely disappointed by how abruptly this policy is being implemented and share the deep frustration of our clients. Unfortunately, this is part of a broader pattern of government actions that have made life more difficult for hardworking immigrants. Our firm will continue fighting for our clients’ rights and livelihoods.
